Auto-pay lets you automatically pay your bills to your community without having to make manual payments. When you have autopay turned on, you will get notified as soon as a new bill is ready so you can review the balances before the payment is automatically processed.
To set up or manage your monthly Sunbound automatic payments, follow these steps:
- Log in to your account.
- Navigate to “My Account” in the top right-hand corner.
- Select “Settings” from the drop-down.
- Select “Payment Methods.”
- Activate or Deactivate Auto-pay. Below adding a payment method, you will be able to toggle on/off the Auto-Pay feature.
You can’t turn on Auto-pay until you have a default payment method set up. Learn how to set one up here.
How much will I be charged?
Auto-pay always draws your outstanding balance, plus any relevant payment processing fees.
In the case of a split bill, this means Auto-pay will be calculated based on your personal assignment, and not the entire invoice amount.
If you have auto-pay activated when a new invoice is issued, you will receive an email that specifies your total charges, itemizing the invoice balance and processing fees separately.
When will my Auto-pay draft from my account?
Auto-pay starts processing the business day before your community’s scheduled payment date to ensure it goes through by your payment date.
However, we understand residents and their families occasionally need a bit more flexibility early in the month. If you would like to set up an auto-pay date that is not offered on the portal, send us an email with the request and reasoning. We will review and do our best to accommodate the request.
Should you need even more flexibility, we recommend applying for our Pay-Over-Time program which allows you to sign up for auto-payments until the 25th of the month without triggering a late fee.
My payment date is in the past, will Auto-pay cover it?
If autopay is activated after your payment is due, it will need to be manually paid through the Sunbound portal. This may occur if you move in after bills for that month were due or if you forgot to make your payment and the due date passed.
