Sometimes your balance might look a little different! Here is a list of charges to review to make sure your bill is incorrect. To see how to access your detailed statements click here.
-
Make sure the rent and level of care are correct
- Check to see if the rent rate is monthly or daily. If your balance is determined by a daily rate then the balance will be different depending on the days of the month.
- Check to the level of care. If there is a change in the level of care for your loved one, can also change the balance.
-
Check for any charges that might be added by the community
- Check ancillary charges as they may be added to your statements such as meals, hair salon, etc. These charges are usually based on the services provided that aren’t already included with the rent and care.
- Check the late fee rates and policy for your community as there may be a late fee applied for the previous month if the payment was not in on time.
- Check for insufficient funds (NSF) fees. An NSF fee may have been applied if there was a payment failure in the previous month.
Why are all my rates higher than last month?
Occasionally communities do have rate increases to keep up with growing costs. You should have received a notice via email or paper mail confirming that these were going into effect.

I see a charge I don't agree with, what happens next?
If you believe your bill is still incorrect, click here to see how you can dispute your balance. We encourage you to still make a full payment to avoid any fees assessed by the community. All charges credited back will appear on next month's bill.
