Sunbound recommends you connect your bank account instantly using your online banking credentials. Please note we never see your bank login details and you control what data you share with us.
If you do choose to connect and verify your bank account manually, you will need to verify your account using “micro-deposits.” This is a way for Sunbound to verify that the person supplying the account information truly has access to the account, and thus limit fraud.
After you supply your account and routing numbers, Sunbound will make a small deposit (typically $0.01 cents) by the next business day (typically ~24 hours later, or if you connect on a weekend, likely on the following Monday). This deposit will have a code you can use to verify your access to the account, which you supply back to Sunbound to complete verification.
Here are the 4 steps to complete your verification:
1) When prompted to "Choose how you'll link your bank account", select "Manually." Enter your routing and account numbers. When it asks for a name, be sure to enter it exactly as it appears on your account statements. After inputting this data, you may see notifications about the account being unverified. This is not an error. It's simply a reminder that there are additional steps to finish verification.
2) The next business day, you will receive a reminder notification from Sunbound to check your bank account. Please review your recent transactions to find the $0.01 cent deposit we made. You should see "SUNBOUND" in the memo or description area. You should see a 3 letter code that you will need to write down and enter later into the Sunbound website. 3) Return to your community-specific Sunbound portal and log in to your account. Follow either of the prompts on the dashboard to input the 3 letter code. See the screenshot below for the link(s) to click (circled in orange)
4) You're set! You have successfully connected and verified your bank account. You can now make payment, set up auto-pay or enroll in a Pay Over Time plan.
